MARSCH is a professional, nonprofit corporation committed to the promotion of the Resident Service coordinator role in the housing community. Our mission is to provide professional development, certification and resources to Service coordinators (RSCs) and others who work in the housing field.

The evolving field of Resident Service Coordination is the “linchpin” that brings together property management, residents’ community, and local resources all working toward the goal of service-enriched housing.

We work with MassHousing the state’s housing finance agency, provide resources, training and networking opportunities to our members at regularly scheduled Regional Group meeting throughout Massachusetts.   We collaborate with other state RSC groups in New England. We participate in and are one sponsor of the NERSC Conference that is held annually in May.

Come Join US!  We look forward to meeting you.

The Role of A Resident Service Coordinator

The RSC links residents with community based services to maintain and improve the quality of life. The Resident Service Coordinator works collaboratively with residents and local resources to build healthier, stronger communities.

The Profession of Resident Service Coordination

The field of Resident Service Coordination is evolving. In the 1990's there emerged a new realization that housing is more than "just bricks and mortar". It became clear that if affordable housing communities are to be successful, they must address the human service needs of all residents. In the new millennium this concept has become known as Service-Enriched Housing.

Resident Service Coordination is Key
to Service-Enriched Housing

Resident Service Coordination involves responsibilities and roles that are as diverse as the population they serve and the organizations, companies and agencies involved. Roles included in this field are identified by various titles such as Family Self Sufficiency Coordinators, Assisted Housing Service Coordinators, Directors of Resident Services and Resident Social Services.

The evolving field of Resident Service Coordination is the "linchpin" that brings together residents, property management, community, and local resources, all working toward the goal of service-enriched housing.
